COTTON FROM EGYPT
BIG BRITISH PURCHASE (Reed. Oct. 9, 9 a.m.) CAIRO, Oct. 7. It is announced that the British Government is shortly purchasing 1,500,000 kantars of Egyptian cotton. This quantity created a market prob. lem because formerly it was annually exported to Germany, Poland Czechoslovakia and Austria.
