BIRTHDAYS CELEBRATED TAKAPAU PARTY {Hurald Correspondent.) A most enjoyable party was held in the Takapau Hall on Saturday evening to celebrate the birthdays of Miss Olive Lincoln and Mr. Ted Lincoln. Mr. J. Tuiwhia proposed the toast to the guests of honour, and Mr. T. Lincoln replied on behalf of liis sister and himself. Messrs, Ted Lockwood and W. Thompson supplied the music. Those present were: —Mesdames Ivl. Lockwood, F. Hooper, I. Gilbertson, B. McCreedy, and R. Lincoln: JVlisses O. Lincoln, M. Lockwood, M. Binny, P. Weeks, I. Shasky, B. and T. Nelson, L. Fletcher and S. Martin; Messrs. 8., D. and N. McNeil, J. Nelson, C. Nelson, J. Neills, T. Lincoln, B. Ellis, C. Hale, 8., W. and J; Thompson, J. Tuiwhia, G. McGreedy, M. and T. Lockwood, T. Hicks, T. Craill, R. Lockwood, and F. Hooper. Mrs. A. Ballard and children, Puketawa, are visiting Gisborne. —Miss A. Landford has left to take up a position in Hastings.—Miss E. Percy, of the Christchurch Hospital staff, is a guest of her father. —Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Wilson are spending their vacation with Mr. and Mrs. Colebrook, Waipiro Bay—Miss Sheppard, Auckland, has joined the staff of the Gisborne Sheepfarmers’ Frozen Meat and Mercantile Company.
