BUTTER FOR LEADERS

NAZI IMPORTATIONS t INFORMATION VERIFIED x (British Official Wireless.) Reed. non. RUGBY, Oct. 5. An interesting sidelight on FieldMarshal Goering’s slogan “Guns before butter” is contained in a bulletin issued by the Ministry of Information which remarks that, while FieldMarshal Gpering explained in a public speech that butter made you fat and people were better without too much of it, yet when Nazi leaders came to arrange their own rations they were prepared to take a broader view of butter. Information, which had been fully verified, had been received that for many months Field-Marshal Goering, Dr. Goebbels and other Nazi leaders had been receiving large supplies of butter from England.
