H.B.’S FIRST WAR DEATH

In order fittingly to commemorate the memory of the late Mr. John Drummond, only son of Mr. and Mrs. Phil Drummond, of Puketapu, who was the first Hawke’s Bay casualty ; n the present war, a suggestion was made at a meeting of the Taradale and District Returned Soldiers Association that, the Taradale-Puketapu road should be renamed Drummond road.
