Gisborne Bowling Club
At last night’s meeting of the execu- j live of the Gisborne Bowling Club, final arrangements were made for the | ofiicial opening on Saturday of the j 1939-40 season. The following new j members were elected: Messrs. W. Ogilvie, O. E. Bartram, W. F. Kennedy, 11. F. Wise, A. E. Potts, C. Burkinshaw, L. F. Sarten, J. G. Bray and j W. L. Ilarraway. Reference was made to the success of Mr. I. Stephen-1 son, who reached the semi-final? ofj the pairs championship in the San j Francisco international bowling tour- | nament. Results of the later games j have not yet been received.
