OBITUARY

MR. DANIEL DOHERTY An ex-imperial soldier, Mr. Daniel Doherty, died in the Cook Hospital yesterday following a short illness. The deceased who was 53 years of age, was born in Ireland and served as a sapper in the Royal Engineers. He spent the past 18 years in New Zealand and latterly had been working in the Poverty Bay district. No relatives have been traced in. New Zealand.

The funeral will leave Ilaisman’s private chapel, Wi Pere street, at 11 a.m. to-morrow for the soldiers’ plot at tlie Taruberu cemetery.
