Waugh’s “Paddy McGinty’s Goat” appealed to popular taste. Before the eatables were handed round, Mr. L. Cooper presented the schield and medals he had donated to (he schoolboy competition, which was won by Te Hapara. Mr. Cooper congratulated the boys individually on '.heir enthusiasm and the outstanding personality of their captain, L. Kennedy, who had kept the team’s strength ■ifret. throughout the year.
