- CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL MOW AT BEATS SMITH (Special to the Herald.) WAIROA, this day. The final of the championship of the Wairoa Golf Club was played recently '-"-tween A. E. Smith and G. M. Mowat. After the first 18 holes had been -layed the position of the match was all square, but the afternoon round -aw Mowat play very sound golf to -ventually win the match and the championship at Te Kuri by 5 and 4. At this stage the winner was only one over par and on the day thoroughly deserved his win. A fourball bogey match resulted in a win for Fattison and Mowat with a :core of 7 up. Inter-club Visit The following players are chosen ■o represent the Wairoa club in. the •-turn visit of the Poverty Bay club, f'-e matches to be played on the Wairoa links this coming week-end:— . E.
