RESCUE FROM FLAMES
MAN ASLEEP IN HOUSE Awakened by neighbours, who pulled him out of the burning building, Mr. J. Grant, an employee of the Waihi Borough Council, had a narrow escape when a four-romed wood and iron dwelling occupied by him was burned out on Sunday. The Waihi Fire Brigade arrived to find the house enveloped in flames. The fire started in the kitchen and Mr. Grant was asleep in the next room.
