BRITISH DEFENCE UNITS NO “FOREIGN LEGION” (Elrc. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 9 a.m. RUGBY, Oct. 3. The Air Ministry announces that the object of a new defence regulation is to enable the- defence departments to recommend, the granting of commissions to, or allowing enlisting in His Majesty’s forces of neutral or Allied nationals possessing special qualifications. The contemplated regulations may c-arly be used to obtain the services Of Polish and other pilots and mechanics who wish to serve in the British forces, -but there is no present intention of forming a "foreign legion.” '
