BERLIN RADIO VERSION "HITLER PROTECTOR” (Reed. Oct. 3, 10 a.m.) LONDON, Oct. 2. A Berlin report states that it has been announced by radio that Dr. Tiso has been elected as leader of the Slovak Popular Party in succession to the late Dr. Hinkla. Dr. Tiso declared that Slovakia found a friend and protector in Herr Hitler and the duty of the State was to march shoulder to shoulder with the German Army as a mark of gratitude.
