TOKOMARU BAY GOLF

MEMBERS FAREWELLED (Herald Correspondent.) Four members of the Tokomaru Bay Golf Club, Messrs. W. Sutherland, F. R. Porter, J. Griffiths and A. Beechey, who have enlisted, were farewelled by members at the week-end. Friendly games were played, the best card for the afternoon being returned by J. Todd, 75—16—59. The president, Mr. J. Todd, wished the volunteers the best of luck.

The last ladies’ match for the season, a bogey match for Miss B. Eivers’ trophy, was won by Mrs. A. B. Forrester, who finished 1 up. The closing day will be Sunday, October 8, when a mixed foursome will be played. Players should attend at 1.15 p.m.
