BARTLETTS DANCE

WEDDING FINALE GUESTS ENTERTAINED (Henild Correspondent.) A finale to the Francis-Whiteford wedding, which took place on Saturday afternoon, was a dance given by Mr. and Mrs. Whiteford to the residents of Barlletts and Wharerata to celebrate the event. The function was held in the Y.M.C.A. hail and 120 guests were present.

Mrs. McKinnon, Gisborne, supplied the dance music, and Mr. J. French proved a capable M.C.

After the supper interval the bride and 'bridegroom took their departure amidst musical honours.

Mrs. Francis, sen., was wearing a petrel blue Angora tweed costume,, with accessories to match. Mr and Mrs Whiteford received their guests, the latter wearing an ensemble of navy blue embroidered in tones of cyclamen. Mrs. Francis wore her bridal frock.

Among the other guests were Mrs. McCormac (Okoroire), wearing a floral frock; Mrs. Green (Otoko). black frock; Mrs. McDonnell (Gisborne), black frock: Mrs. W. L. Bel!, autumn-toned floral craquelle sheer; Mrs. Clanachan, floral satin in Wedgwood blue: Mrs. lying- floral faille in shades of blue: Mrs. G. McAra. salmon floral sheer.

Mrs. E. Smith wore a cocktail suit of black and white; Mrs. Brifl'ault, brown satin, with large floral design: Mrs. Breingan, navy brocaded satin: Mrs. Fouhy, mustard frock lightly patterned in black; Mrs. Poole, black frock; Mrs. French, brown floral maro. cain; Mrs. (Mulligan, black flat crepe; Mrs. Lockwood, old gold satin with design of self-brocaded leaves; Mrs. Mori, pink satin and lace; Mrs. Robbins, lemon organdie with frilled godets; Mrs. E. Borst. flame georgette; Mrs. Rodgers, vertically striped floral marocain; Mrs. Hewson, black frock; Mrs. West, pillar box red georgette; Mrs. Heikell, black flat crepe: Mrs. Walters, blue floral frock; Mrs. Muir, black sheer; Mrs. Phipps, magenta satin; Mrs. Hibberd, white frock patterned in .black; and Mrs. Clark. . Miss Roddick (Gisborne > had chosen a purple sheer frock; Miss P. Tier (Gisborne), black frock; Miss C. 'McConnell (Wellington), sunset silk net over taffeta laced with black velvet ribbon; Miss J. McConnell, brown and green frock; Miss C. Mulligan, royal blue floral frock; Miss E. French, jade taffeta: Miss J. French, twilight blue taffeta; Miss A. West, emerald georgette; Miss J. Clanachan, green floral taffeta; Miss M. Todd, floral frock; Miss K. Lahood, black frock; Miss P. Lahood, lemon taffeta; Miss M. Jackson, autumn-toned georgette; Miss S. Ehau, black and white satin.
