The potato market, which was very )U iet ter some time, has been a little brighter this week, stated a P.A. r.essage from Christchurch on Friday. There has been- a renewal of n'ciers from the North Island and the quotation to farmers is firm at £l3. A fair ameunt of retail business is reported in small seeds. The ban on exports of all seeds except fescue, brown-top and suckling clover is still in force and merchants have had no advice of the Government’s intentions Cor the future.
