When Miss Jean Horwell won the Timaru ladies’ golf championship recently it was for the eighth time. She experienced an unbroken run for seven years, but did not compete last year. The lowest handicapped lady pl'ayer in New Zealand, Miss Horwell has been a conspicuous figure for New Zealand in Tasman Cup matches in recent seasons.
