• AUSTRALIAN OARSMEN CONTESTS AT HENLEY (l’or Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. Members of the Sydney Rowing Club team, which represented Australia in the grand challenge cup race at the Henley centennial regatta, are through passengers by the Monterey. They were accompanied by the singles sculler H. J. Turner. There were eight teams in the event, five representing English clubs, but these were completely overshadowed by the visitors, particularly the Harvard University crew, which won by many lengths. Sydney was beaten in the semi-final by Argonaut, Canada, Which lost to Harvard. Turner was beaten in his heat by Verey, Poland, who lost in the final lo ,T. Burk, U.S.A. Turner won the singles at the Marlow regatta.
