“I have it from two gentlemen of considerable standing overseas that long before next Easter—if all. goes well With the war—there will be more liquid' ‘ ifibney id’ New Zealand- than there has ever been before," said Mr. M. Wells, chairman of the Cambridge Power Board, in a statement at the monthly meeting of the board, “X am able to give you this information, and take pleasure in so doing because I am satisfied it' will.be cheering hews in these times,” said Mr. W'ells. "There will be plenty of money either for war purposes or .for improving farm lands and increasing production. Prices have been fixedin fact, they were fixed some -months ago—for pork, mutton, wool, butter arid* cheese, and they are highly profitable prices.
“Where -everything else looks bad, it is something to feel cheerful about that we will have plenty of money in thik country as a result of the current season’s production," said Mr. Wells, who reiterated that he had the information from the best authorities.
