DOMINION—BRITAIN CONDITIONS DEFINED (Per Press Association.t WELLINGTON, this day. i The controller of censorship • announces that as from October 2 cable messages in code may be exchanged with the United Kingdom. The following published codes are permissible only: Bentley’s second phrase; Bentley’s complete phrase; A.B.C. .sixth edition; Petersen’s third edition. Only one of the foregoing authorised codes may be used in any one cablegram. The name of the code must be written in the service instructions by the sender, but no charge will be made for the transmission of such information. Senders must supply a translation written on the back of the form or on a separate sheet of paper when the telegram is handed in. The use of numerical equivalents or spare word editions for framing a private code is not permitted.

All messages written in code language must be capable of being so decoded as to have a meaning clear to the censor.

For the present, the use of code addresses and code signatures is no 1 , oermilted.
