“SERVICE” WAS POOR
THE MAN IN CABIN 9S Just before war was declared the Aquitania, New York-bound, was two hours out of Southampton when a bathroom bell rang and an annoyed man complained that there was no hot water. The steward saw a hat and coat hanging on the .door and asked the man his cabin number. He said it was 93, third class. There is no 98 in the third class. At Southampton, when the vessel returned to England, the man, Edward Azevith, a 30-year-old Russian, was sent to gaol for a month for slowing away. He had been to America and back in the liner.
