WARSAW YIELDS
GERMAN FORCE CAPITULATION OF CITY THOUSANDS WOUNDED SOLDIERS AND CIVILIANS SHORTAGE OP SUPPLIES (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Reed. Sept. 29, 2 p.m.) LONDON, Sept. 28. A defence communique issued at Warsaw announces that the capitulation negotiations have been concluded. It is stated that 10,000 soldiers and 20,000 civilians are wounded and the lack of food is cruelly felt. Tile command, not wishing to increase the superhuman suffering of civilians, and taking into account the lack of munitions, decided on capitulation on conditions. Hel Peninsula is the only centre now holding out against the Germans. There was some desultory fighting elsewhere. The Soviet’s gunboats will patrol the Vistula, the Bug and the San Rivers.
