GERMAN CONSULS’RETURN
DEPARTURE FROM SYDNEY (R'ecd Sept. 28, noon.) SYDNEY, Sept. 27. The German Vice-Consul in Sydney, Dr. W. Hoops, and also the German Consul In New Zealand, Herr E. Ramm, and his wife, have sailed for Tafbavis, where they will await further instructions from their Government. SWITZERLAND DEFENCES (Reed. Sept. 28, 9 a.m.) LONDON, Sept. 28. The Geneva correspondent of The Times states it Is officially announced that Switzerland is building defences in the interior, supplementing the existing double of fortifications.
