HASTINGS, this day. In the store sheep section at the Slortford Lodge sale yesterday a draft was offered on behalf of Mr. F. A. Hull. The draft, bred in (he Wai knremoana (district, comprised 1110 well-grcwn and well-woolled two and four-tooth wethers, in forward order, an attractive line of sheep which should come off the shears in good order. The line sold at 22s Bd. Out of the same draft, 773 similarly-aged wethers, smaller framed, sold in two 1o is at 20s 9d and 20s 3d,

FRANKTON STOCK SALE SHEEP VALUES EASIER ■Competition was not so keen as last week for ox beef at the Frankton stock sale on Tuesday, and values generally were easier. Values for a heavy yarding of cow au-d heifer beef were firm. Extra heavy prime steers made from £ls 11s to £l7 ss. while prices for heavy prime ranged from £l3 15s to £ls ss. There was a large yarding of fat sheep, but only a small offering of prime quality wether mutton. Values were slightly easier, while unfinished wethers showed a decline. Fat ewes showed a drop of 2s a head. Prime spring lambs realised from 33s to 345.
