The bride, who was escorted by her 'hither, wore an exquisite frock of ' ory needle-run lace, mounted on matching satin, designed to slender 'ine and graceful movement. The bodice, ornamented down the back vith ‘iny satin bows, showed a Vihaped neckline, and short sleeves ’ull at the shoulder. Cut with a deep Swiss point in front the inset beit gradually tapered to a narrow band it the back, and the flowing skirt swept into a long, graceful train. Her filmy veil of tulle was held in /.lace with a coronet of or.jingc blossom, and a shower bouquet of cream hyacinths, carnations and heather, 'litermingled with maidenhair fern vas carried. Long cream kid gloves ud sandals of plaited satin to match completed the charming effect. The bride- was attended by Miss Tocelyn Bousfield, Miss Ngaire White, •nd her, sister, Miss Una Duncan. Tach wore a picture frock of cream triple chiffon mounted on matching taffetas, designed with a V-shaped neckline and short sleeves. A narrow belt fastened with a diamante buckle defined the waistline, and the flared skirt just revealed sandals of cream satin. A short veil of blue tulle caught to the head with forget-me-nots made an attractive headdress and long cream gloves were worn. A posy of blue grape hyacinths and cowslips backed with silver and tied with matching ribbons was carried by each bridesmaid. Mr. Douglas Maxwell was best man, and Messrs. William Knox and Ronald Duncan, brother of the bride, were groomsmen. After the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Duncan entertained a number of friends at a delightful reception at Le Grand Cafe.
The bride and bridegroom left later for their honeymoon, the bride travellin in a smartly tailored suit of honey-tan Harris tweed worn with a blouse of Liberty silk printed in autumn tonings. A hat of tan velour, matching accessories, and furs completed the ensemble. Mrs. Duncan, mother of the bride, was wearing an elegant frock of midnight blue ring velvet accented with a diamante ornament, and a hat of navy blue ballibuntal straw relieved with a spray of pastel-tinted flowers. Her bouquet was composed of 'stocks in soft shades of pink. Mrs. W. Andrews, grandmother of the bride, wore a graceful ensemble of black cloque, and a' straw hat to match, a bouquet of rose-coloured ranunculi completing her toilette.
Mrs. A. Duncan, aunt of the bride, chose a frock of bottle green jersona. and a matching hat. Miss R. Andrews, cousin of the bride, wore a frock of London tan cloque, appliqued in matching satin and finished at the V-shaped neckline with a gold ornament and worn with a fawn straw hat. Mrs. P. Shaw, sister of the bridegroom. chose a frock of hyacinth pink sheer printed in a cob-web design sashed with petunia georgette and a hat to match. She carried a bouquet of roses, erica, sweet peas and tulips in delicate shades of pink.
Mrs. A. G. Brosnahan, sister of the bridegroom, was wearing a frock of delphinium blue cloque embroidered on one side of the corsage with irridescent beads, and a hat to tone. The future home of Mr. and Mrs. Stothart will be at Ongaroto.
