CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND SECOND ROUND DRAW (Herald Correspondent.) The first round of the Waikohu Golf Club's championships was played under ideal conditions, and resulted as follows: — Ladies’ Senior Grade.—Mrs. C. Gaukrodger d. Mrs. D. Burnett, 2 and 1; Miss M. Alexander d. Miss L. Ruru at the nineteenth; Mrs. H. O'Connell cl. Mrs. T. L. Earnshaw 2 and 1. Ladies’ Junior Grade. —Mrs. Tail d. Miss Josephine Scott, 2 and 1; Miss G. Parkinson d. Misse N. Jamieson, 1 up. Men’s Senior Grade. —First Round: E. Bradley d. E. Ruru, 4 and 2. Second Round: E. Bradley cl. R. 11. Brown, 3 and 1.

All first round players in the men's junior grade must play their matches next Saturday or forfeit them. The following is the draw for flic second round for this week-end:— Ladies: Mrs. C. Gaukrodger v. Mrs. H. O’Connell, the winner to play Miss M. Alexander: Mrs. Tail. w.Miss G. Parkinson. Men: J. L. Clarkson v. W. V, Luttrcll, tire winner to play E. Bradley.

All lady members are asked lo meet at the clubhouse during the week-end to play 27 holes on full handicap for tire Bullivant Trophy. Owing to the difficulty of transport all inter-club matches have been postponed for this season.
