ONE AUTHORITY
POLICE RECOMMENDED I MOTOR TRAFFIC CONTROL The time is opportune for the Government to consider complete control of all motor traffic in the Dominion by one authority, and not have the multiplicity of regulations and prohibitions that at present obtains, states the Automobile Association (Otago). In England and France the police are in sole charge, and traffic control is very much simplified. As the average citizen has a good deal of faith in the police, and recognises their authority, a great deal of improvement might be looked l'or if this principle were adopted in New Zealand.
