TE HAPARA TENNIS
annual; club meeting NEW MEMBERS ENROLLED The annual meeting of the Te Hapnra Tennis Club was held last evening, there being a large attendance of members and intending members. The report and balance sheet were adopted, members expressing satisfaction at jhe strong financial position. Officers were elected as follows: President, Mr. J. Woods; vice presidents, Messrs. B. Anderson, F. Sharp, and Miss N. Gordon; committee, Mrs. Clark, Miss N. Hopps, Messrs. G. Burns, F. Rickard, G. Sharp, and N. McCormick; hon. secretary, Mr. J. Robinson; hon. treasurer, Mr. W. S. McKee; club captain, Mr. F. Rickard; deputy captain, Mr. G. Sharp; selector, Mr. F. Rickard. Mi - . Burns was elected chairman of the committee. Several new members were elected. It was decided to leave the subscription on the same basis as the previous year.
Trophies won last season will be presented on the opening day, to be held on Saturday, October 21. Donations of £1 Is each towards lhe erection of a new volley board were offered by Messrs. L. Jackson and F. Rickard and were received with thanks.
