DEFICIENCY BUDGET

NEW SOUTH WALES TAXES INCOME, WAGES AND CARS (Reed. Sept. 27, 10.30 a.m.l SYDNEY, Sept. 26. After providing for a heavy increase in taxation, the New South W’ales Treasurer, who delivered the Budget to-night in the State Assembly, estimated that the net deficiency would aggregate £1,512,000. Additional taxation will be as follows:—Company tax increased from 2s 3d to 2s 6d in the £, individual income tax increased by 8 per cent; super tax of Is in the £ on taxpayers’ income exceeding £2000; taxation on motor vehicles increased by 12J per cent. In addition to the increase on private income taxation, there will be a substantial increase in taxation on wages.
