SEASON AT TE HAPARA INCREASED MEMEEESII IP A very successful season is reviewed in the report to be submitted to the annual meeting of the Te ii a para Lawn Tennis (_iub to-nighi. There was an appreciable increase in membership, the suDscriptions being £25 higher than last year, ana a number of new players had. signified their intention of joining the club this year. A profit of £8 lbs lid was made last year after allowing for depreciation. The courts received a great deal of attention during the off-season, and they were reported now to dp in first class order. Results of ithe club competitions during the season were: Ladies' Singles Championship, Mrs. Clarke Ladies’ Doubles Championship, Mrs. Clarke and Miss Lane. Ladies’ Handicap Singles, Miss Blake. Men's Singles Championship, Geof. .Sharp. Men’s Doubles Championship, G. and B. Sharp. Combined Doubles Championship, B. Sharp and Mrs. Clarke. Men’s Handicap Singles, B. Sharp. Men’s Handicap Doubles, B. Sharp and G. Sharp; Combined Handicap Doubles, Hislop and Miss Blake; Ladies’ Handicap Doubles, Mrs. Langhorne and Miss Blake. Trophy for most improved player, presented by Mr. B. Anderson:—Miss N. Weeks.
