HIGH COST OF POTATOES

PRICES AT TOKOMARU BAY DECLINE EXPECTED BOON (Special to the IloriUd.) TOKOMARU BAY, this day. Representations to the Government through Mr. A G. Hultquist, M.P., regarding the high cost of potatoes in Tokomaru Bay were made recently by the Waiapu Hospital Board, and in reply Mri Hultquist stated that he had communicated with the Minister of Industries and Commerce, the Hen. D. G. Sullivan, who nad replied that he had taken steps to control the prices.

As prices had reached their peak, a decline should commence shortly, the Minister’s advice stated, particularly in view of supplies being received from overseas.
