mutual assistance MOVE FOR TREATY (Elec. Tol. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Reed. Sept. 25, 9 a.m.) ISTANBUL, Sept. 22. Authoritative sources are of the opinion that Sarajoglu Bey, the Turkish Foreign Minister, who is visiting Moscow, wjll conclude a mutual assistance pact with Russia which, however, Will complement Turkeys Anglo-French agreements and might even be usable to achieve a .reconciliation between Russia, Great Britain and France.
According to the News-Chronicle s Istanbul correspondent, Sarajoglu Bey said Turkey approved of RussianTurkish negotiations as evidence of Russia’s intention to prevent aggression bv Germany in the Balkans, also that Russia herself had no Balkan demands that could not he settled by negotiation.
Russia’s aim to employ a military understanding as a basis for economic penetration and the diffusion of the Communist idea is bv the announcement that the Minister ol Agriculture and' a party of specialists will follow Sarajoglu Bey to Moscow.
