The New York Times correspondent at Bydgoszcz says that in justice to the Germans, it must be said that the Poles had little improved the former German territory which was absorbed after the Great War.
Pioneer regiments and labour corps are now rapidly completing . emer ge'ncy repairs to permit economic life to resume i's normal course. In contrast to south Poland, the war damage in the former German territorities is slight, the most serious handicap being the destruction of bridges.
