CHAMPIONSHIP POUNDS TURANGANUI CLUB SOME KEEN GAMES Club championship rounds were played on the Turanganui Golf Club’s links on Saturday, and some keen games were played, one of them in the men’s B section going to the twenty-third bole before a' decision was reached. Results were as follows:
Men’s A Championship. —R, Robb beat T. Tilley, G and 5; C. Pere beat C. Hume, 2 and 1; W. Marshall beat P. Keiha, 3 and 2; P. Kaua beat T. McMurray, 2 and 1; J. McConnell beat T. Muir, at the nineteenth; R. Halbert beat W. Rangi, 1 up; W. Carroll beat W. McMurray, 5 .and -1; R. Keiha beat G. Butler, 7 and 5. Men’s B Championship.—R'. Ivess beat J. H. Cato, at the twenty-third; R. Gordon beat L. Haggie, 2 and 1: D. Ross beat T. Moore, 2 and 1. A medal handicap played in conjunction with the men's championship resulted: R. Robb, net 02 (handicap 15); C. Hume, G 3 (19); W. Anderson, G 4 (24); R. W. Halbert, G 5 (10); W. Carroll, 6G (14); T. McMurray, 66 (19); L. Haggie. G 9 (26). Ladies’ B Section Championship.— Mrs. Bullivant beat Mrs. Kaua, 2 up; Mrs. Keiha beat Mrs. Gazeley, 3 and 2. Ladies’ C Section.—Miss Barrow beat Miss Miller, 2 and 1. A medal round played in conjunction with the ladies’ championships resulted: Mrs. Kaua, net 68 (handicap 30); Mrs. Halbert, 69 (24); Miss L. Linton, 71 (36); Mrs. Keiha. 72 (19); Miss C.
