TESTIMONIAL TO BRADMAN
The prospect of a national testimonial to that Australian cricket idol Don Bradman, is being discussed in Australia.- Victor Trumper, it is u recollected, was honoured in such a way by New South Wales, and his testimonial amounted to just on £3OOO. It has been suggested that a national testimonial based on a great match on the Melbourne Cricket Ground, where Bradman’s biggest tests exploits were achieved, and where a double-decked stand provides accommodation for the myriads, might well run into five figures.
