FALSE DEATH NOTICES
RELATIVES IN BELGIUM PROPAGANDA OF NAZIS (Reed. Sept. 22, 9 a.m.) LONDON, Sept. 21. The Brussels correspondent of The Times says that French families living in Belgian cities have received pseudo-official notices of the deaths of relatives who have been called up for service in the French Army. In all cases the men have not had time to reach the Western Front, and therefore it is obviously propaganda to demoralise the French in Belgium and thus the Belgians.
