TANKARD COMPETITION

P.B. GOLF CLUB P. FAHY WINS FINAL Compe’ing for a trophy presented by Mr. B. Adair, 50 members of the Poverty Bay Golf Club played on a non-handicap basis, the competition being concluded this week, with P Fahy as the winner. The semi-finalists were R. Ogilvie. p. Fahy, G. Tangncy, and G. B. Spiers, each a moderately-experienced golfer. Fahy beat Ogilvie in the semi-final round, and Tangney debated Spiers. In the final, both surviving contestnn's played good golf, and Fahy was dormy two at the sixteenth. lie won the seventeenth, and the match, 3 up and 1 to play.
