“HITLER AND NAZISM”
ADDRESS TO YOUNG MEN “Hitler ;nd Nazism,” provided a topical subject for last, evening s address at tlie fortnightly tea held by the Gisborne Young Business Men’s Club.
Mr. I-I. Boddington, who occupied the chair, introduced Dr. A. L. Singer, the lecturer for the evening. It was evident to members of the club that Dr. Singer had read widely on the subject he discussed. The speaker outlined the rise of the Fuehrer from humble birth to a position of world prominence, and explained his aims and ambitions. Herr Hitler, he said, had left no doubt as to his ability to sway the German people by his oratory. The subject was one that created much interest and numerous tjueslions were answered by the lecturer. Mr, A. M. Terry, on behalf of the club, thanked Dr. Singer for his address.
Messrs. C. A. L. Ferguson and R. Sinclair, who will go into camp at Trenthain next week, were farewclled by members of the club. Mr. J. W. Bain was congratulated on his promotion to the rank of captain.
