SAILORS’ PAY RAISED
AMERICAN PROVISION WAR-TIME ALLOW AN CE (Reed. Sept. 21, 2.50 p.m.) WASHINGTON, Sept. 20. The Maritime Commission has announced an increase of 25 per cent insailors’ pay during the emergency, a clothing bonus of £3O is their clothing is damaged and base pay, plus 25 per cent in event of a sailor being interned. No insurance is possible under the law.
