Those present at last night’s meeting of the Gisborne Borough Council were the Mayor, Mr. D. W. Coleman. M.P., Crs. R. Morse, A. L. Singer, E. Harris, G. D. Muirhead, J. H. Hall. F. Tolerton, and H. H. De Costa. Footpath Improvement Slight improvements to the footpath and channelling at the corner of Wi Pere and Stout streets were suggested to the Gisborne Borough Council last night in a loiter from Messrs. E. T. Brosnahan and C. Maunsell, who slated that they made the request so that they could keep their street frontages in order. —The matter was referred lo the borough engineer, Mr. E. E. Thomas, for attention if the cost was not expected lo lie great, otherwise the engineer was to report back to the council.
