FIVE PER CENT REJECTED
CHRISTCHURCH RECRUITS SPECIAL MILITARY FORCE (Pur Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. Of the 817 recruits for the special military force examined in Christchurch "on Friday, only l(i were classed as unfit. A grade men numbered 192 and 109 were closed as temporarily unfit making the rejections approximately 5 per cent. There was a sudden rush of recruits this morning and the Christchurch total is now 850. There were 74 .enlistments in Christchurch on Saturday for the special military force for service within or beyond New Zealand. This makes the Christchurch total to date 851/ WELLINGTON ENLISTS .1534 ! (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The recruiting total for the special force in Wellington up to Saturday night was 1584, comprising 08 officers and 1471 men. MASTERTON ENROLMENTS (Per Press Association.) MASTERTON, this day. Enrolments in' Mastcrton in the special military force up to Saturday totalled 190. So far 130 have been medically examined, of which number 45’have "been rejected, most of them on account of defective teeth.
