Cernauti, otherwise Czernowitz, Rumania, is the haven of Polish Go% : - ernment officials.
Rumanian diplomats in Poland informed the Polish President, M. Moscicld, that his officials entering Rumania must live at designated places and eschew politics. The Rumanian envoys added that Polish children and wounded would be sheltered. Polish officers and soldiers would be disarmed and interned. Many children have reached Cernauti, where the wives of _ all the Ministers, and Madame Moscicki, wife of the President, and Madame SmiglyRydz, wife of the Polish commander, are staying. A later message from Cernauti stales that the Government has notified the diplomats of 37 countries accredited to Poland that they must leave their temporary quarters there and go either to Bucharest or home.
