EXPLOSION IN BERLIN

AIR MINISTRY QUARTERS RETICENCE OF OFFICIALS (Reed. Sept. 18, 9 a.m.) BERLIN, Sept. 16. A heavy explosion occurred at 6 p.m. during a blackout in the vicinity of the Nazi Air Ministry headquarters. The cause and extent of the damage is unknown. The streets were deserted at the time.

The Propaganda Department has slated that the persons responsible will be energetically sought. Scores of windows were broken and streets were littered with broken glass. Officials declined to indicate the cause.
