SHOW CO-OPERATION
FACILITIES OFFERED SAVING IN TRAVEL The offer of all the association's organisation and facilities for use in any way for which they were suited was made by the Poverty Bay A. and P. Association at a meeting on Thursday in order to assist the'Government in the present war effort. It was suggested, however, that care should be taken not to deplete the farming industry of labour in the enlistments for service, for it„ was necessary' to maintain production to its fullest during the war period.
In order to avoid unnecessary travelling time, it was agreed to endeavour to arrange future meetings of the general committee on the same day as the Farmers’" Union and Sheepowners’ Union executives.
During the meeting, a vote of thanks was passed to Mr. P. F. Barker for supplying and planting trees in place of those which died in the new plantation at the Makaraka end of the grounds.
It was agreed to recommend the addition of Mr. R. K. Ross to the official • list of Southdown judges.
