NUHAKA RIFLE CLUB

ANNUAL MEETING

(Herald Correspondent.)

There was a good attendance at the annual meeting of the Nuhaka Defence Rifle Club. , The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—President, Mr. C. M. McKenzie; vice-president Mr. ,T. Austin; hon. secretary, Mr. D. Hughes; magazine keeper, Mr. R. Bluck; general committee, Messrs. R. Bluck, R. Boyd, T. Bluck, W. Greening, W. Houston and G. Whitmore. Mr. R. Bluck, 710, was the winner of the Austin Memorial Cup, presented for the highest aggregate points. Mr. J. Austin, 694, was nex , and Mr. T. Bluck had 690. It was decided to hold a working bee early in the month, when lepairs would be made to the rifle butts ana targets. The first shoot will commence early in October, and they will be held fortnightly at the butts at the Wai station.
