Complete success attended the medal match conducted by the midweek lady members of the Gisborrn. Park Goli Club on Tuesday afternoon in the interests of Miss Tureia, the ■Maori candidate in the centennia. queen carnival campaign, whose mother, Mrs. Tureia, is a much-es-teemed member of the club. The weather was all that could be desired, and the popularity of the object was shown by the large attendance of members.

In the A grade, Mrs. Clarke anci Mrs. W. Halbert tied for first place with a net score of 70, and in the play-off honours were annexed by tile former with a "birdie” two, the feat being greeted with great enmusiasm.

Mrs. F. Wells, with a net score ol 72 emerged the winner in the B grade, Mrs. H. Alley being the runner-up.

Afternoon tea wap served in the club-house at tables beautified with golden daffodils, and later the prizes won during the afternoon were presented by the club captain, Mrs. Lunken, who congratulated the successful competitors. In a happy manner, Mrs. Tureia, on behalf of her daughter, thanked the members for their support. Three cheers were given for Mr. W. A. Hall, who donated the trophies, and tin acknowledging the compliment paid to her husband, Mrs. Hall thanked the secretary, Miss E. Winter, for her very efficient arrangement of the tournament.
