PROMOTIONS & TRANSFERS
Recent appointments of Gisborne interest in the New Zealand defence forces include the following transfers and promotions:— Royal New Zealand Air Force, territorial force.—-Squadron-Leader T. W. White, E.D., Flying-Officers K. A. Brown.john and R. A. Kirkup, transferred to the reserve of officers, section I, class A. Flying-Officers G. A. Nicholls and F. L. Truman, promoted to the rank of flight-lieutenant. New Zealand Military Forces. — Lieutenants E. R. F. Scarfe, D.C.M., and P. Tureia, Hawke’s Bay Regiment, transferred from class I to class 11. Lieutenant E. S. Clarke, second cadet battalion, Hawke’s Bay Regiment, transferred to the Auckland Regiment (Countess of Ranfurly’s Own).
