BARTLETTS NEWS
(Herald Correspondent.) The concert party from Gisborne who was to have paid a visit to Bartletts on Thursday in aid of the public service queen centennial funds postponed its visit indefinitely. Miss Jean French has been appointed stenographer and typist to the Public Works Department in Bartletts in place of Miss H. Whiteford, who has resigned in view of her approaching marriage to Mr. R. Francis. Mr. A. Feasey has recovered sufficiently to return to his home after having spent several weeks in the Cook Hospital.—Master Bryce Briffault is expected home this week from the Cook Hospital, where he has been a patient for the past month. Miss Margaret McCallum has returned to her home in Gisborne after having been the guest of Miss June Fouhy for a fortnight.
