WAIROA, this day. “I regret to inform you that since our last meeting a state of war has broken out between England and Germany,” stated tlie chairman ol'' the Wairoa Electric-Power Board. Mr. C. V. Chamberlain, at the monthly meeting of the board yesterday when moving that the Prime Minister of New Zealand, the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage, be written to informing him that the Wairoa board unanimously endorsed the action of the New Zealand Government in associating the Dominion with Great Britain in declaring war in an nedeavour to stamp out Nazism and aggression, and resolved to cooperate whole-heartedly with the Government in any action it should see fit to bring the conflict to a successful issue. .The motion was seconded by Mr. J. Corkill and carried unanimously.
