OPOTIKI STOCK SALE FAT MARKET BUOYANT There was only a small yarding at the Opotilci stock sale. Competition for fat cattle was strong, but store cattle and boners met with a poor demand. Fat sheep were eagerly sought,

two pens of 'four-tooth wethers making 30s. Other prices were:— Sheep.—Maiden ewes, 245; fat ewes, 23s Gd; wether hoggets, 18s 9d. Cattle.—Fat cows, £8 10s to £9 11s; lighter, £6 5s to £7 10s; killable, £4 15s to £5 ss; forward cows, £3 15s; boners and stores, £1 to £5 ss.
