BRITISH SHIP’S MASTER vessel TORPEDOED (Reed. Scot. 11, 9 a.m.) LONDON. Sept. 9. Captain Bariston, of the British vessel Oiivegrove, describing the torpedoing of the ship, says': "We tried to escape, bill the submarine came right on. ordered us to hcave-to and fired a warning shot. We tool: to the boats. "The submarine then torpedoed the Oiivegrove after which the commander asked me to board the submarine. He examined the papers and cpicstioned me about the location. Apparently he was not too sure where he was.”
