WOMAN’S DEATH

A verdict in accordance with the medical evidence was returned by the coroner, Mr. E. Gilbertson, when an inquest was held in Wellington concerning the death of Bridget McCarthy, aged 68, single, who resided at 3 Belfast street. Evidence showed that Miss McCarthy fell on the staircase at Parliament House, Wellington, on August 29. She was admitted to Wellington Public Hospital and on September 1 died from a fracture of the skull.
